Securing Our Future

A city’s failure to prepare for the future is a city preparing to dry up in 30 years. Tom will bring a continued sense of urgency to securing Wichita Falls’ future, guided by a bright vision for the city circa 2075.

Current City Council

As a current  member of the City Council, Tom helps oversee a city with a $250 million-dollar annual budget and more than 1100 employees.

Property Base

Wichita Falls has a $7.5 billion-dollar  property base. Tom wants to grow it to fund infrastructure improvements, enhance quality of life, and create jobs without raising your taxes.

Problem Solver

Tom is a collaborative problem solver and team-oriented leader. He brings 30 years of civic leadership and experience working with Wichita Falls city government.

Tom has or is currently serving as the City Council liaison to several boards and commissions, including:

  • The 4A & 4B Economic Boards, Planning & Zoning Commission, and Parks & Recreation Board
  • The Helen Farabee Regional MHMR Centers Board of Trustees and the     Animal Shelter Advisory Committee
  • Development stakeholders group member
  • As vice chair of the Parks and Recreation Board, and later as a council member, Tom created a city parks study and championed funding for the new Parks and Recreation Master Plan.  The previous master plan was dated 2010.

Tom also serves as a voting member of the TIF #3 Board and advocates for Eastside revitalization.
